What about Vegas as a Tour Destination?

There really isn't that much to see... Las Vegas is afterall a valley situated in the middle of a desert, a hot dry arid desert.

So after careful consideration and the input of our visitors we have decided NOT to recommend any specific Las Vegas Tours, Tour Companies, or Tour Destinations other than those we have reviewed or written about in our General Activities listing.  It's just not fair to YOU our visitor to promote tours when it lies outside the city and outside our area of expertise.

You may not be suprised to know that we receive very little mail regarding tours, and the results of polls we run to gauge the interest in tours is also very low.  Our visitors have told us they want to know more about what activites are available and where to stay.

What may be a great experience for one family could be a disaster for another.  We hope all of you who take the time to Visit KidsinVegas.com leave with a newfound knowledge and appreciation of the REAL things to do with Kids in Las Vegas and not just some list of commissionable links to otherwebsites that we really know nothing about.

Las Vegas is a surreal experience, one you'll find nowhere else.  Taking a trip to see the Grand Canyon or Hoover Damn on Lake Mead might be something you want to do as part of your Trip to Vegas.  And sure there are activities in the surrounding areas like Horseback Riding and Jeep Adventures, but the companies offering these services come and go and it's truly difficult to judge the quality of services offered from year to year.

Because we do not have the time or resources to try out each company; and have little desire to recommend someone just for the sake of a commission we are choosing not to recommend anyone in particular.

It's really hard to determine what is a good deal and what isn't.  So many of the tour operators use the services of brokers and so many tours are similar you would think the prices would be about the same.  Unfortunatley this is not the case.  So if you have your heart set on a day trip to the Grand Canyon you may want to check this list on Yahoo Local:  180+ Las Vegas Tour Business Operators.
