Activities for young minds and bodies
Having fun! You'll find fun activities on KidsinVegas the other Vegas Sites don't or won't list. And we go way past the typical Hotel and Casino attractions. Why? Because KidsinVegas really is about what to do with kids in Las Vegas. So we choose to let you in on some of the fun activities you won't find on other Las Vegas Websites.
Las Vegas Day Camps
Las Vegas Day Camps offers opportunity for local children to explore a variety of activities. The activities are safe, fun and rewarding. However, it is the combination of our team as well as the activities that will create a lasting impression. Our team members interact with campers, making them feel welcome, safe and successful. All are carefully screened with federal, state and local background checks and are First Aid and CPR certified. Our team conducts themselves under our established staff handbook and code of ethics. The staff participates in a detailed camp orientation as well as ongoing job training. Most importantly our team members sincerely love to work with children. Please visit the site for more details.

Sunset Park
Looking for someplace to let the kids get out and run and play away from the hustle and bustle (Not to mention) concrete on The Strip? Sunset Park may just be your answer. Well known to the Locals in Henderson/Green Valley Sunset Park is a popular destination for picnics and play. The park features picnic areas with barbeques, dog runs, baseball fields, basketball courts and eight outdoor lighted tennis courts. There is also a fishing pond for the kids stocked with a variety of fish depending on the time of year. You'll find Sunset Park at 2601 East Sunset Road at the corner of Sunset/Eastern. The easiest way to find the park is to head South on Las Vegas Blvd, turn East on Sunset to Eastern. Sunset Blvd Parallels McCarran International Airport, and the park is right across from the Airport on the South East Corner. PS: It's okay to feed the Geese and Ducks Bread - they seem to love it :)
Lied Discovery Children Museum
The Lied Discovery Children Museum features hands-on exhibits in the arts, sciences, nature, music and humanities; a Traveling Exhibition Gallery; an Early Childhood Pavilion and an eight-story Science Tower in 22,000 square feet of exhibit space. Marjorie Barrick Museum UNLV
The Marjorie Barrick Museum located on the UNLV Campus at 4505 Maryland Parkway (702-895-3381) features a display of Native American Culture including Pre-Columbian Latin America jewelry, basketry, and pottery. But the real attraction for the children is the Snakes and Crrpy Crawlers Interactive Exhibit. Yes it's not likely that a family on vacation will take the time to stop by, but for the locals this may be a nice afternoon away from home. More like a school field trip experience than an attraction, but we'll let you decide if it's for you.
Las Vegas Zoo
The Southern Nevada Zoological-Botanical Park (a.k.a. Las Vegas Zoo) is managed by the non-profit Nevada Zoological Foundation. The shady 3-acre park is located just 15 minutes northwest of the Las Vegas Strip. The zoo exhibits over 150 species of plants and animals.
